Project 2 Blog Activity

This blog post activity will help us, in accordance with a level three expectation as outlined in the WIDA standard 5 for language proficiency. 

Give examples or
descriptions of social
issues or inequities
depicted in illustrations
or political cartoons

We will also be achieving this goal through reading of an article. 

Before and after reading the linked article and looking at the pictures, consider the following and construct a comment post with your responses to all questions and comment back to 2-3 of your peers' blogged thoughts as well.

Before reading:
-Define, in your own words, what a bully is.
-What is your experience with bullying? Have you ever been a bully? Have you ever been bullied by someone?
-How is bullying a form of social inequality?
-What types of bullying are most prevalent?

After reading:

-Give your thoughts and opinions of what this author is saying. Do you agree with her? 
-Give two solutions that you can think of that would help to lessen bullying--really think about this and form deep, synthesized arguments. 
-Give an example of bullying you may have heard of from your friends or at school. Is it physical bullying? Verbal bullying? What kind of bullying?  
-How can bullying affect both the bully and the victim later in life?
